When is about beauty products, techniques, tools, doctors, etc, take my advice and always SHOP AROUND LIKE YOU ARE BROKE, YET, ONCE YOU HAVE GONE TROUGH ALL THE RIGHT STEPS OF CHOOSING, THEN, SPEND LIKE YOU ARE A MILLIONAIRE. Just do it right, do not spend the money just because you have it, or because you can afford it, or because it may seem cheap, or even worse because is a good deal. Shop around like you are broke! Meaning, make your requirements or qualifications so thought that mostly you never do spend the money! And when you do finally find and choose the right doctor, procedures, treatments, specialists, products, etc. go ahead and buy them but slowly, so you see results, so you check that they do what they say they do. Ex. Do not buy a whole line of the product if you haven't made sure ONE does what it says it does, or works for you the way you expect and then move on slowly, I know sometimes they have great deals and packages that are hard to refuse, but when is about beauty and trying new things, spend as you learn, the more you know a brand, product, doctor, etc, the more you can feel confident is going to be a good purchase/investment.

STORY. I have a collection of hair styling products, or what is left off because I have gone through tens of them through the years, which had made my qualifications harder now when I spend money, yet, it has given me the experience, that if I see, showing around, the right product, right price or just found it, because a sometimes good thing is hard to find, then I can pull the trigger and buy it (no matter the cost).
Now, when I started my hairstyling products quest, I did not know what things were important when you are actually investing money in them. Like…
Longevity
Heat levels (this is a MUST).
What products are made of, ions, ceramic, etc
The kind of curls they create (hot rollers vs Ferris vs Conner curling blow dryer, etc)
The length of the light cord!
The watts if it is a flat iron.
In the Hair chapter, I will go further on the right tools to buy. This is just a quick list to make my point.
So, it took me many many questions about the hairstylists while my appointments, which in many ways have paid off to ask all you want to know to your specialist while you are sitting with them, besides, who doesn’t love to talk about what they love to do, especially if it’s the passion and they are killing at it!
It took me many purchases of the wrong tools, that did not heat right for my thick hair, broke easily, were not handy or big, or not easy to use. To find the right brands. After 20 plus years of buying all these products, I think experience gave me a master of product quality control. Lol.
Check on later Blogs for the List of must before buying your first hair styling tools.
