They never go back to being the same once you mess with them for the first time.
Once you wax or plug your eyebrows they don't grow back the same. So, the very first time that you do it, it is pretty much gonna be for the rest of your life. Eyebrows are important nowadays, actually, they always have been important, the difference is now, that there is a full sector in the industry dedicated to them. And they deserve it, It is the frame of your face. The best makeup artists, start the makeup from the eyebrows first, as you can tell on many video tutorials out there.
I remember sessions of image reviewing on my TV years, with all the cosmetician groups and talking for an hour about my eyebrows, their shape, and color. At that time, I thought they were like, Too much, like “omg, is not that important”. We are taking 20 years ago. Microblading an all these new techniques did not exist then, yet, in the beauty industry, eyebrows have always been “the first step” for a flawless face look, like an exclusive secret from the professionals in the beauty industry.
It can make you or break you if I am allowed to say it some way. I have seen some girls and even guys, going from a 5 to an absolute 8, haha. Just plugging or applying the right makeup shape in their eyebrows. You can literally make yourself prettier or odd-looking very fast if you do right or fuck up your eyebrows.
I can not stretch enough how important part of your beauty your eyebrows are. And please do not play with them with the tendencies. Just change your makeup shape.
Plug your eyebrows the first time right please, with an expert. The right shape and never too much!
If you are already mature, try to grow them again. It is a painful time but is worth it.
Story. After I fucked up my eyebrows (trying to follow fashion trends and doing it by myself). I lost 75% of my eyebrow hair, which once used to be so full like Cara’s, and my best friend mentioned that my eyebrows were too thin now (thank you Dany). I realized she was right. I spoke to a beauty specialist that recommended growing my eyebrows, for as long as it was needed, to see, how much of the hair would actually grow back.
I painfully did, it did not look good for 3 months. using castor oil with my nighttime ritual to help the growth process. And they grew back, I am a hairy person by genetics and my hair actually grows fast naturally, so the experience could be different for you. However, my eyebrow game is at its best now after a few years of this process, and it was definitely worth the painful (because it does not look great, I am making you aware) time of the hair growing step.
I started again on the search for that great eyebrow shape that I naturally was given. The beauty artist plugged my eyebrows for the first time and since then I make sure I stay on the line on my weekly eyebrow beauty day. I try always a different product that claims to enhance hair growth on my eyelashes and eyebrow, some work some doesn’t.
I got the right eyebrow product for my needs, with the right color! This has changed every time I change my hair color too! Please always be aware of this. Living at the beach and being the sweaty person I normally am, it was absolutely necessary that my everyday makeup which includes sporadic visits to the actual beach, could last and look flawless as I like. I used of years powder and gel. Now I am great at just using gel. Use this as a reference to find the right product and color. Obviously, waterproof makeup is the ONLY kind I use and buy. It does not matter if you are a city girl, just find the right products for your needs.
And I learned to create, with a lot of practice, the best EYEBROW SHAPE for my face shape and style. Beauty hack #13. Try them all, not only the current trend, you will be surprised how much better or worse you can look. Eyebrow shape trends have changed through the years, learn how to accommodate and try new styles with makeup, not with permanent or semi-permanent makeup techniques. Please, let me mention it again, do not plug your eyebrows based on trends. Use your makeup skills.
If you already lost or don’t have naturally full eyebrow hair, the way makeup looks on the skin is not your preference. Just promise me you will give it a good try on your make-up skills before going for a semi-permanent artist, as with years of experience, I can assure you, nobody knows your face better than you, what looks good and what doesn’t. As long as you get the color right, slowly, with daily practice you will become the best eyebrow Artist you can have, you fuck up, you can start again, the beauty of makeup. However, if you are decided that a semi-permanent technique is for you, go through the steps I have mentioned before to find your beauty master. Research shapes, and techniques, discuss color and understand that changing your hair color might be not the best once you got it done. to be honest, I am not big on this technique, because unless you really find the right beauty master, I have seen terrible jobs done. It is hard to fix and it ends up being expensive I found it totally irrelevant when you can just stop the hustle with a really good everyday makeup technique. I have seen even worse experiences since covid had forced a lot of women to dive into the field looking for a home-based job with minimal investment, which has produced thousands of more “pseudo beauty experts” with no experience and desperate to make money. beware of this new trend of “new Beauticians” with no experience or real knowledge of their field. Anybody can buy a certificate with an online course for 200 USD. I am afraid you will fall into this trap that covid had caused, I am not trashing down people that want to change careers and try something new, I am making. Remark on what is the pink elephant in the room. No experience, no knowledge no guarantee. Which are the 3 components of beauty disaster. This applies to hairstylists, semi-permanent makeup artists, eyelashes and eyebrow beauticians, nail artists, etc. ALWAYS ask for years of experience, and even the master, still fuck up sometimes. do I even have to mention that PERMANENT tattoo techniques are absolutely not recommended by me. Unless is for regular decorative body tattoos.
I was very lucky you know my mom is a cosmetician and she waxed my eyebrows for the very first time. She knew how and that she had to respect the natural curve I was naturally given as the beauty master that she is, and for years I was known for my amazing eyebrows.
What seemed like a curse growing up, became one of my beauty landmarks once I got help from a professional (in this case my mom). I was born with a unibrow (yes, like Frida Kahlo, and no, you will not find any picture, I have burned them all haha). Pretty much she had a lot of room to do it, and do it right.
Semi-permanent Laminate for your eyebrows is ok, and I think if you have the hair, a great natural looking style to pursue. Make sure the products are mild and with the possibility of benign your face or har whatsoever, as I know, some bad experiences had happened.
All about eyebrows, it’s mostly new in the beauty industry, it does not have more than 5 years. And to me, anything that is less than 5 years on trial or in the market it’s still “new”. This means that all beauticians are still learning about it and with it, how fucked up things can go. Be aware of the newness of the procedures or techniques you are trying with yourself. Research, research, research. Beauticians with new techniques, are always eager for clients to apply them, is it worth it to be an adventurer when is about your beauty… for me, it is NEVER! I just don’t risk it. And neither should you.
With love...
