Let's talk about your facial skin...

Updated: Apr 6, 2022

The goal, is, over the years to get to know...

Your own skin type, which will change through the years, the goal, is exactly, to know your face skin so well that you know what benefits you or not, so you know how to address it, and notice, if it does change with the years and then start taking care of that situation then. I have gone from grease to greasy "t zone", mixed, to finally normal skin type with regular aging issues.

Your skin tone, is key for natural makeup, whether you like to use foundation or not. And please do check your tones in the appropriate light. and once you become very good at the color scale, it will even benefit your wardrobe styling. Always use colors that favor your skin and hair tone. Also, choosing the right hair tone for your skin is key for natural or no makeup daily life. You want a natural look and you really are not a big makeup user. Learn about color matching and tonalities. It will change your life. and it all parts from your skin tone, it is the only thing you can’t change (unless is tanned), so it starts from here, then your hair tone, then you match your make up and for the cherry on the pie, you learn the best color palette for your wardrobe. Now that is how you design your best beauty like a master. Beauty hack #11.

What are you sensitive to, and this is key, you need to know through the years, what suits you and what does, and please know yourself so well that immediately you can tell so you can discontinue use of any new thing you are trying.

What do you like, the products that suit your skin and make you look refreshed and vibrant. It can be as simple as a cold shower pumped into your face softly with your hand in the morning to get the blood flow running. Vitamins? Rosewater? The perfect facial soap for your face?

Your pores and blackheads tendency. Open pores or closed pores, regular pores?

What causes you to break out. Sweat? New products? Makeup? What exactly forms your makeup product si too heavy for you if that is the case? Do you touch your face too much? Genetical? Age? Another…

Your reaction to sun exposure, how fast do you tan, how long do sit last, do you actually get a tan or red tones? freckles or other sun marks? Use the right products and different products for your daily spa filter, your tanning sessions, outdoor sports, or events.

How does it react to different weather conditions, humidity, extreme hot, extreme cold… make sure you include it in your daily routine. My face skin is normal now, however, if it's cold it gets dry, and if it's summer it gets greasy because I sweat more, which also makes me break out. Now, I have the right products for those needs covered too. I have a different facial day cream for summertime to help me control the greasy area and it makes my skin look good enough that I actually wear less makeup because it’s summertime and it's hot! yet, I still have my regular glam on.

What are your most important needs to attack? And based not ht you choose your night time, creams, lotions or several of them and combine the use along the week. for example, I like to use the brightening mascaras in the nighttime and really let them soak in. They would be too heavy for a daytime cream base for my makeup. Find your need and use the nighttime ritual to address those need and change it if you see skin type changes over the years. Do not toss your products right away, always verify the expiration date, some beauty products last years! And remember never to use one beauty brand or product for too long or it will lose efficacy. Mix and match the use of products. As I have mentioned before.

Check how much do hormonal changes affect your facial skin. Or if you already have facial skin problems, if they're due to hormonal or food-related issues.

Your nighttime ritual is super important it should not be taking you more than 20 minutes including brushing and flossing your teeth beauty hack #12.

My daily routine night by night, consists of…

Wash my face.

Every other day I exfoliate and do a facial mask, then wash again.

Astringent lotion

Eye cream,

Face cream or any medicine your dermatologist recommended.

I make sure I do some kind of treatment or mask for my hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows. If it is too heavy id o it every second day.

Hand cream.

Deep moisturizing foot lotion.

Braiding my hair, and maybe something else that you need to do like getting my braces on.

This is super important and you need to get used to it and become fast at it.

With the years you will see the positive difference all this information and rituals make...

Start today!

With love,
